Gregory Eltringham’s paintings and drawings entice viewers with a playful repertoire of reoccurring persona. A SCAD alumnus and painting professor, Eltringham (M.F.A., painting, 1990) creates vibrant characters, drawing inspiration from traditional portraiture and observation. He has exhibited throughout the U.S. and Europe, and completed residencies in Renkum, Netherlands; Düsseldorf, Germany; and elsewhere. His films have been screened in festivals and galleries nationwide, including the St. Louis International Film Festival and the Kansas City Fringe Festival, Missouri. Eltringham graduated from The Art Institute of Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in illustration. He also earned a B.A. from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, and taught in Florida and Missouri for more than a decade. A Hartford, Connecticut native, he now lives and works in Savannah, Georgia.
