Justin Ward’s intriguing, bird’s-eye view photography explores various concepts revolving around the built environment. Ward, a professor of motion media design at SCAD, has exhibited work nationally and internationally in both solo and group exhibitions, including at the university’s Alexander Hall Gallery, Savannah, Georgia; Karpeles Manuscript Museum, Newburgh, New York; Indian Photography Festival, Hyderabad, India; and Auckland Festival of Photography, Auckland, New Zealand, among others. Ward’s work has been published in the Oxford American, and he previously taught studio art, graphic design and photography in New York City. Ward, a SCAD alumnus (M.F.A., photography, 2016), lives in Savannah, where he also is a foundation studies professor at SCAD. He earned a bachelor’s degree in digital art from the State University of New York College at Oneonta, and a master’s degree in art education from Teachers College at Columbia University, New York.
