Known for her energetic brush strokes, electric colors and eye-catching compositions, Wendy White (B.F.A., fibers, 1993) creates multimedia paintings incorporating vintage photographs and found objects. A SCAD alumna, White also earned an M.F.A. from Mason Gross School of the Arts, New Brunswick, New Jersey. She has earned numerous honors, including a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship, a grant from The George and Helen Segal Foundation and a grant from the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation. White’s artwork has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma, Japan; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, California; the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin, Germany; the Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia; and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm, Sweden, among others. White is from Deep River, Connecticut, and she lives and works in New York City.
