SCAD alumnus Marcus Kenney (M.F.A., photography, 1998), a native of rural Louisiana, works in many mediums, including sculpture, painting and photography. His narrative art presents a tumultuous clash of imagery that reflects America’s melting pot of cultures and considers issues of consumerism, environmentalism, religion, mortality, identity, race and authority. Kenney’s work has been exhibited in museums, institutions, galleries and art fairs internationally, such as at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel; Expo Chicago, Illinois; the Marcia Wood Gallery, London, England; the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, New Orleans, Louisiana; and Art Basel, Miami Beach, Florida. His artwork has also been featured in Art in America, New American Paintings, Art Papers, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Artvoices Magazine and The Atlanta Journal Constitution, among others. Kenney lives and works in Savannah, Georgia.
