Designed by renowned Atlanta artist, Jose Hadathy, the poster captures the city’s rich culture and connection to soccer

ATLANTA (March 24, 2025) – Today, the leaders of the Atlanta World Cup Host Committee, in partnership with FIFA, released the Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Atlanta Host City Poster. Designed by Atlanta artist, Jose Hadathy, the poster is one of 16 to be unveiled over the next month.

The Atlanta Host City Poster is a vibrant and imaginative illustration depicting the city in a surrealist style that captures Atlanta’s energy and excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 26™. The focal point of the poster is a peach, representing Georgia’s southern hospitality welcoming the world to the epicenter of soccer in the U.S. The poster features Atlanta’s iconic skyline layered on bright blues and greens, highlighting the blue skies over the “city in a forest.” The design depicts several landmarks, such as the Georgia State Capitol, Atlanta Stadium, Krog Street Tunnel, Martin Luther King Jr. Birth Home and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as well as key community elements such as station soccer – an initiative to make soccer accessible to everyone.

The poster also nods to the deep commitment by the State of Georgia, the city of Atlanta, and Atlanta Stadium to setting new standards for environmental stewardship in sports and entertainment. Georgia continues to lead in clean energy investments and green business initiatives, while Atlanta has prioritized sustainable urban development and infrastructure. At the heart of this commitment is Atlanta Stadium, the only stadium in the world to achieve LEED Zero certification. From solar energy and water conservation systems to zero-waste initiatives, this commitment exemplifies the region’s leadership in building a more sustainable future.

Hadathy, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Atlanta, was born in Quito, Ecuador and moved to the area at the age of nine. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and currently serves as Creative Design Manager at Atlanta United.

“I am honored to have been chosen to create a piece that captures my two passions – soccer and the city of Atlanta,” said Hadathy. “This poster was inspired by our city’s rich culture, history, and profound connection to soccer. The FIFA World Cup will shine a global spotlight on Atlanta and the state of Georgia, and I wanted to create something that captures the energy and excitement of the world’s greatest sporting event, while authentically connecting with locals and inspiring visitors to explore our wonderful city and state.”

The Atlanta poster is part of a set of Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Host City Posters, representing the unique cultural and artistic spirit of the 16 Host Cities. A diverse group of talented artists, each with their own style, created designs that reflect the distinctive identity and heritage of their respective Host Cities. The artists drew inspiration from local landmarks, traditions and the unifying power of football, resulting in designs that will resonate with both local communities and global audiences. From iconic regional fruit and animals to quintessential characters, each poster weaves together the story of the sport with the artist’s city.

The posters will be unveiled at FIFAWorldCup.com through April 17, with a new poster highlighted every two days. Fans can sign up to be notified as posters go on sale. The Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Tournament Poster, celebrating the event across all Host Cities, will be revealed prior to the Final Draw, which is scheduled to take place later this year.
