February 14, 2019 – ATLANTA, GA - After hosting its most high-profile event to date, Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) in Atlanta reports that Super Bowl LIII, which took place in the venue on February 3, has shattered its previously-held records for technology, sustainability, food and beverage and various other hospitality and fan experience metrics. MBS outperformed for the 70,081 fans in attendance, the 5,800 media and 100.7M more that tuned in to watch the game on television and streaming services.

  • 7,392 pounds of food equating to 6,610 meals donated to families in need across Atlanta
  • 80,120 pounds of recycled materials including glass, aluminum, cardboard and plastic

Since opening, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home to Atlanta United of MLS and the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, has hosted over 80 major ticketed events, bringing over 4 million guests through the building.  MBS will again host a full slate of large sports and entertainment events in 2019 including Monster Jam; Monster Energy Supercross; George Strait with Chris Stapleton; Chick-fil-A Kick Off games; SEC Championship; and the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2020.

“Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the premier venue for the world’s biggest sports and entertainment events,” said Steve Cannon, CEO, AMB Group.  “On one of the world’s largest stages, our stadium performed as we have promised since before it opened.  We’ve set the bar and proven that Mercedes-Benz Stadium and our city is one of the best sites to host global events.   We couldn’t be prouder of the performance of not only our building, but our associates and the thousands of volunteers who made the Super Bowl fan experience the best in the world.”
