SCAD alumna Melody Postma (B.F.A., illustration, 1988) is a painter and mixed-media artist whose work blends vivid colors, playful shapes, textural fragments and vintage images to document everyday life. Each layer represents a moment in time, coming together to tell a complete story. By connecting viewers to the narrative on display, Postma’s collages evoke a sense of self and a feeling of connectedness. Postma has exhibited her artwork in museums and galleries nationwide, including the Lanoue Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts; the Matre Gallery, Atlanta, Georgia; the Whitney Gallery, Savannah, Georgia; Bennett Galleries, Nashville, Tennessee; and Visions West Contemporary, Denver, Colorado. Postma lives and works in Savannah, Georgia.
