ATLANTA (July 18, 2023) – The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM) today announced that the recently crowned 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Champion Mexican Men’s National Team will play four matches in the United States this Fall as part of the 20th anniversary of the MexTour, including a return to Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

All four games will be staged during two FIFA windows, allowing for the teams to call up their top squads.

The Mexican National Team will return to Atlanta on Tuesday, September 12 with Mexico’s first-ever match against Uzbekistan. It will be the fourth match for Mexico in Mercedes-Benz Stadium since the venue opened in 2017.

The upcoming September match will mark the third consecutive year that the FMF team has visited Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Most recently the Mexican National Team visited Atlanta in August of last year vs. Paraguay in front of over 50,000 fans. Prior to that, over 70,000 fans witnessed the team take on Honduras in June of 2021. Mexico first played in MBS in June of 2019 with another 50,000 fans on hand to witness the match vs. Venezuela.

The fall matches kickoff on Saturday, September 9, at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, with Mexico taking on Australia. On Saturday, October 14, Mexico will line up against Ghana at a venue to be announced, followed three days later by a match against Germany in Philadelphia.

Tickets for the two September matches will go on sale Tuesday, July 25 at 10 a.m. local time, through Ticketmaster. Fans are also encouraged to pre-register at SomosLocales.com for future ticket information and the opportunity to have first access to purchase limited ticket inventory for all venues.
